Ivyreader Beta Release

A year ago I started the development of Ivyreader. It started as a project to learn Elixir, but after a price increase from Inoreader I switched to it as my main reader and never looked back. It works so well that I decided to open it up, and after a lot of cleanup I am ready to release it.

Beta start

I’ve been using the reader for nearly a year now and it works without issues. I still want to start with a free beta to get feedback from users and to test the basic features system under load. Currently the Ivyreader beta supports all types of RSS feeds, nested folders organization and different views.

Future

What I see missing from other readers is handling high volume feeds and podcast support. So my main focus right now is to build podcast support and give it first class treatment. Nested folders already help to organize feeds. To help further not to get overwhelmed I will add more features to group articles by topic, filtering and prioritization of low volume feeds. This already worked great in tests I have done, it just needs to be added to the production environment.
